HEMPY 2 Liter SOG #1

Okay, this is my second grow journal, I did VERY WELL with my current 3 Gallon Hempy Bucket run (harvesting soon), and have taken so many clones, I decided to run a 2 Liter SOG this time around. Basically, we will go from Clones, right into 2 Liter containers, and straight into Flower, making just a Bunch of Single Kola Plants and no branching.

I had 2 Plants in Veg (Northern Lights x Big Bud & Fruity Chronic Juice), both in 3 Gallon Hempy Buckets 100% Perlite, for about a week, then topped em and put those tops into the Cloner. Waited a week, then took 15 clones per veg plant, and put them back into veg, so I could grow out the smaller clone sites before taking and finishing them off.

Today has been a week, and I took the last of the Clones off these two plants.. So now we have a total of (29) NLxBB and (30) Fruity Chronic Juice. I get roots to sprout in 8-9 Days and have a 100% ratio. So far I have yet to lose a clone with my SIMPLE Cloning method.

The tops that I took a couple of weeks ago got transplanted into their Hempy Solo cups 1 Part Verm to 3 Parts Perlite and have each been given their own 23 Watt CFL for right now. I will start them on a light feed tomorrow of about 100ppm (.5) and build them up quickly from there. They will be fed with every watering and every other day, to every 2 days (depending). These two will be vegged, then Topped, then vegged and stripped for clones in the next couple of weeks. Two of those clones will go back into veg and the cycle will continue.

In the meantime, we will get roots from the new clones and in the next couple of weeks, I will have the option to put them right into their 2 liter Hempy’s and into Flower, or I can put them into Solo cups for a week, then into the 2 liters. It all depends on when my current grow can be harvested and out of the Flower Room in order to make room for the 2 Liters.

Feel free to ask questions or provide comments along the way.

2 liter hempy sog

Here’s the rub: my first priority is to do a seed run, so I would like to run as many plants as possible initially for better odds at breeding success. 2 liter bottles would be perfect in the space sog style as i could run 6 at a time and separate the dudes to collect pollen easier. Later I could go with larger pots and just chop the males.
Im using hempy buckets with100% perlite and going with Docbud’s OC+ method as I already own these materials.
As a primary goal can I grow healthy breeding plants this way? Pot size and lighting being my biggest limitations.

I’m currently setting up my stealth(important) cabinet. The cabinet has good height at 55″ but a small footprint just over a square foot.
Also, using 8 23w CFL, mostly blue spectrum (65k) and maybe a couple of red (27k). This will be the most practical starting point for me. There is room to add a bulb or two as needed but thats like12000 lumens for a small footprint. Think I have ventilation and odor control worked out but still require a test run.
I have recently received some regular HBD and Auto Assassin seeds (10 each)
Trouble is, I know autoflowers like larger pots and I have searched but can’t find any results from 2 liters. Yields aren’t a huge issue as we are talking strictly personal stash. However, I may increase later to get more for my trouble.
Secondarily, what kind of yield per plant might I expect? As I said, its personal stash and 14 or so grams a month keeps me pretty good but more is always better.

No one ever been growing in 2 liters soda bottles with coco? come on guys.
My first ever grow, which was actually a lot more successful than subsequent grows, I used 2L hempies with a hempy mix (70% perlite and 30% vermiculite). Plants GOT HUGEEEEEE. I let them stretch too much by not keeping lights close enough, and I didn’t know how to train them. Each one had a bout 20g and one had a little more than an ounce. They needed water every day. I think 2L is a good idea because when it’s smaller it’s harder to overwater because the tiny buckets just don’t hold that much anyways.

Good luck on whatever you decide ;D
I read that thread a couple of times al rready and like it very much but that is a photo grow with 12/12 from clone so its really not the same.

Great thread tho
If I had it to do over again though I would use 100% perlite and water 1-2 times a day. I didn’t like how much moisture coco and vermiculite hold. If you are prone to overwatering (I M THE OVERWATERING CHAMP OF THE UNIVERSE) I would reccomend a higher amount of perlite in the mix if not just 100%.
