We did not experience any acceleration or separation. We brought the batter to a light trace and then poured it into the mold. After 24 hours the soap was too soft to unmold; we ended up waiting a full week before we could get it to release from the silicone. Even then it still had the corners and part of the bottom stick to the mold and tear off. There was no discoloration and no sign of the soap going into a gel. The scent was incredibly strong. After 30 days the soap had no discoloration and the scent remained very strong. We found the fragrance really embedded into the silicone mold we used, so we recommend either having a dedicated mold for this soap or using a disposable liner to protect the mold. This fragrance was so easy to work with it would be an excellent choice for a more intricate design that requires a very light trace.

Overall this is very nice!
I don’t smoke, but I have family members who do.
I let them smell this fragrance oil OOB and they chuckled so hard and agreed that it smelled like something they smoke on the regular, so I’ll be buying a 20 oz to make some soaps, candles, and bath bombs and will see how those sales go this holiday season.
I personally like the smell and although it wasn’t anything I was expecting OOB I’m excited to make handmade goodies with it and get my customers feedback.
I suppose it’s in the customers sales that’ll tell you whether or not it’s a HOT SELLER. Money talks.
I always keep in mind that it might not be something I would personally buy for myself, but there’s a huge market out there for those who know and recognize it!
Good luck fellow makers.
I was super excited to try this. Well I just got it mail and it smells like mens cologne to me. I stayed in my nostrils for about 20 minutes after smelling it. Ill give it a ry in my next scrub, maybe the scent won’t be so strong. I was totally expecting a more earthy, green smell.
Does not smell like hemp to me. My next door neighbor smokes all day and it does not smell the same. I suggest you buy the sample sized bottle first if you’re interested in purchasing. I’m disappointed. I hope I can mix with something else so it does not end up being a waste of money.
My customers loved this scent in my candles, they said it smells just like weed with a scent of lemon
This smells exactly how it’s supposed to smell. I swooned when I opened the bottle.
True to Name
smells like weed, if you are making cannabis themed candles this is the one.
I didn’t like this scent at ALL. it doesn’t smell like hemp to me.
It smells like chemicals and gives me a headache. Maybe I used waaaaay too much but it smells nothing like hemp to me.
Not what I expected
It doesn’t really smell like cannabis, its a very dirt-like earthy smell with a HINT of weed. Ion really like it.
In one of my best sellers!
I had no idea this candle would be loved like it is! I use this 50:50 with Fraser Fir and just a very small dash of Fireside. People can not get enough of it!!
Hemp Fragrance Oil
This oil smells so good. I used in the soap I make and the scent is wonderful. I will be buying more of the hemp Fragrance.
So far this is been the best I have come across for scent and price.
Thank you Candle Science
Clean, vegetal aroma
If you are expecting hemp to smell like you just lit up, this is not the fragrance for you. This is based on the hemp plant — green, clean, with an earthy vegetable impression. Love this; it is the best “hemp” FO I’ve found. Great for blending with other herbal scents.
Hi everyone I recently bought this hemp fo. However when I added it with GW 464 soy wax the candle scent had a very overpowering citrus smell when the candle is not lit. When the candle is being burned I cannot smell anything. Any recommendations for blending with another FO or another soy wax to use with this FO? Please
LOVE LOVE LOVE
My customers love this scent, one of my best sellers! I get it some of the notes are not for everyone, but if you like pachouli, you will like this. Not sure why people hate it.
My customers love this scent and I am finding it difficult to keep it in stock. It smells like the fresh plant, not skunk bud or burning weed but the fresh just picked plant. Customers who want this scent will for sure pick up on the cannabis notes and the earthy undertones. With the addition of a 1:16 ration of Coffee Bean fragrance oil you will obtain a true skunky weed scent if that is what you are looking for.
Whoever made this scent, has never smelled hemp in their life. Hemp isn’t the best smelling thing to begin with, but this scent is awful.
Enchanted Hour Apothecary
On it’s own it is pretty intense and I’m not a fan, but mixed with another fragrance oil it adds the perfect blend of bright earthiness, with a hint of lime and wet greens.
do not fall for the hype
I can’t believe I fell for the hype of this scent. I am so disappointed that the people who created this scent said yep this is what we’re going to give them lol it’s awful. do not make the mistake of getting a 4oz get this as a free sample. Do not waste your money. Love you candle science but omg this was a fail
This fragrance oil out of the bottle does smell a little sharp, and citrusy but it DOES have certain cannabis qualities to it. Did some tinkering with other oils and viola, we have a true to form cannabis scent. Cannot wait to launch this on our website, have already sent samples out and the reviews are great. thank you candle science!!
Not your mom’s poo-poo-ree.
I have used so many wonderful scents, faithfully, from Candlescience. I recommend your fragrance oils all the time.
I was excited to see Hemp, but was so turned off by it’s smell. We all have different noses, and mine is pretty good. Out of the bottle I thought, well, this isn’t too bad. But when I made a bar with it . . Peeyoooo. It smelled like I had just scraped fresh dog poo off my shoes. Time has not improved it. I know the smell of hemp, hemp oil, and homegrown or dank, and this ain’t none of them.
Dont be surprised if your neighbors call the police when making a batch of this fragrance up!
Not sure what’s wrong with the person below with a 1 star review but this is the most authentic I have came across.
Packs a potent punch
Earthy Cannabis Scent
It’s kind of plain on its own in my opinion. I mixed it with the dragons blood scent and my 21 year old hippie daughter loves it. I think this scent will be popular with a certain crowd if ya know what I mean. I’m gonna experiment with it. It’s interesting.
Not quite there.
It smells kinda like rhubarb, earth, and dried hemp plant (not the flower so much as what’s used in twine and rope). It doesn’t smell skunky or “dank” to me. Mixing it with another FO seems the best method to get a realistic scent.
