It is important to learn about the amount of cannabis that you intend to plant. This will help you understand the resources you will need to accumulate. It is also very important to learn on the kind of weed you are growing. There are two kinds of plant systems. There is the passive and there is the active. The passive setup is the easiest to start and maintain. However, it will take more time than that of the active grower. The passive growing system will require standard material such as glass boxes, wick-systems or even simple pots. This is however commonly used by beginners or those that do it for small scale. However, for the active growers, you will need advanced growers which are quite expensive but it will really pay off after a while. You can also decide to use soil or use organic mixes.

One of the quick and easy way to grow cannabis is to have a grow tent, which delivers optimum environment such as full spectrum grow lights and ventilation. The reflective inner surface helps trap the lights inside the tent, and thus optimize the efficiency of the grow lights.

2’ x 2’ grow tents are ideal for the beginner grower or growers with limited space. It can accommodate 4 small plants or 2 medium plants from veg to flower and is perfect for use as a seedling and clone tent. Growing plants in a grow tent will allow you to completely control your growing environment, will help keep your garden free of pests and contaminants, and contains any potential mess created from the growing process. This size indoor grow tent is also commonly used as a “mother tent”. Mother tents are used to keep your favorite strains in the veg stage long term so you can take cuttings as you need them so you always have clones ready to grow.

Since you are growing indoors, you’ll have to select a grow light to replace the sun. There are several different types of grow lights and unfortunately, there is no ‘best’. Choosing a grow light comes down to the dimensions of your space, your budget, your growing goals, and your power limitations. The good news is, lighting technology has improved over recent years and nearly all lights — HPS, CMH, LED, and DE will work.

ECO farm LED grow light simulate sunlight. We use the new professional full spectrum (380–800nm) to ensure your ladies great yields. This sunlike full spectrum has been proven and used by plant factory and our grow lab. It contains every kind of light that plants needed. And it provides plants Veg and Bloom two stages with everything they desire in the natural sunlight, protects eyes more, plants clear more.

SMD LED GROW LIGHT: SMD LEDs mount on the surface of electronic boards directly but do not physically go through the boards like other types of LEDs. Another important feature of SMD is miniaturization. Reducing the size of the LED means it can dissipate heat better, reduce working temperature, increase product life. Miniaturization also makes it possible to place more LEDs in one board but do not worry about burn out. More powerful than other types of grow light at the same price.

An extraction fan is essential for keeping temps down and supplying the plants with the fresh air (C02) they need to thrive. Note that you do not necessarily need an extraction fan if you are running a sealed room — but you will need an A/C and CO2 generator, which is a significantly more expensive alternative. I’ve written a more in-depth article that explains why you might choose a sealed room over a vented room.

As the plants enter the flowering phase, they start to give off that pungent odor we all know and love — unless you’re the neighbors. Carbon filters are the answer to that terpene-rich, skunky weed smell. You definitely don’t want to get a cheap carbon filter — make sure you stick to reputable brands when it comes to this essential piece of equipment!

Although not glamorous, ducting is a crucial item in your garden’s ventilation system. For smaller grows, I recommend flexible, insulated ducting — the insulation helps keep the heat (caused by the hot air) from radiating into your growing area. I recommend using 6 inch ducting at a minimum; larger grows will benefit from larger diameter ducting.

Rotating / Oscilating Fan

Rotating fans provide constant air circulation inside your tent, preventing mold growth, and helping to strengthen your cannabis plant’s stems and branches.

Choose an oscillating fan like the one above that can be mounted on the frame of your grow tent. This keeps it out of the way.

To ensure an optimum yield, you will need to make sure your room or tents are at the correct temperature and at the optimum humidity. A combination of thermometer and hygrometer will allow you to do just that, and they are cheap at less than $10. So, buy one!

Small Pots (One to Two Gallons):

To prevent over watering, you’ll use small pots for weed clones and also marijuana seedlings. Every plant should have its own pot.

Large Pots (Five To Seven Liters) :

Large pots are where you want to transfer your plants when they get bigger and begin flowering.

This should have actually been the first point. This is because the quality of your cannabis will be determined by the see you grow. There can be cross-breed and there is the generic cannabis. There is a high need to determine this so as to determine the kind of treatment to give to each of these plants. The seeds will actually determine the conditions and even the input to be used on the plant in terms of insecticides, nutrients and planting methods favorable for each of them. This is simply why you will find that expert cannabis growers clearly label each of their plants. Become an expert cannabis grower as soon.

Peat Pellets Assist Germination

Peat pellets are one of the best ways to germinating your seeds. They are very affordable and also very reliable. They are also very easy to use. The peat pellets are usually round brownish sort of pills. They are soaked in water to soften them up then you defuse your seed into them and this will provide the required care and nutrients your seed will need to germinate. This is almost a sure bet on the healthy germination of your seed.

A PH meter measures the PH levels of your water and soil.

Maintaining a good PH level is vital when growing cannabis.

If your PH levels are too high or too low, your plant will not be getting the correct nutrients required to flourish.

Ideal soil pH is between 6.0 and 7.0, while hydroponics ideal PH is between 5.5 and 6.5.

PH meters are easy to use, you just stick them in your soil or the water you’re about to pour on your plants and they will give you a reading.

When growing indoors you will want to, as best as you can, mimic the outdoors. So, as the sun doesn’t shine 24 hours a day, you’ll need to turn your lights on and off during the day. Granted, if you don’t have a timer, you can turn your lights off and on manually. But, without a light timer, to assure a good harvest you’ll need to stay home and manually turn your lights on and off. Basically, a timer is essential equipment if you want to have a social life.

The final piece to the puzzle is ensuring you have access to clean, filtered water. The sad fact is that most city water is less than ideal for growing cannabis — its full of contaminants, chlorine, chloramine, fluoride — the list goes on. You don’t need an expensive filter, and if you can’t afford one, you still have two other options — go to the grocery store and fill a 5-gallon jug with RO water for 25 cents per gallon, or get some air stones and bubble the water for a minimum of 24 hours.

It is important to learn about the amount of cannabis that you intend to plant. This will help you understand the resources you will need to accumulate. It is also very important to learn on the kind…

Marijuana & Hemp Grow Room Supply List & Guide

The cannabis industry is rising and becoming more popular. Hemp is a very versatile plant that produces rope, paper, clothes, and much more. Over the years, CBD (Cannabidiol) has become well-known for being a natural supplement. More states are legalizing the usage of cannabis and CBD products are popping up everywhere.

With the high demand for these products, there comes a need for more legal grow spaces. To properly produce hemp and marijuana, you need a sturdy and efficient grow room.

Large Scale Grow Rooms – Industrial

Industrial grow rooms need a lot of supplies and equipment. Typically, larger operations are found in big, steel buildings with support sections and have many different rooms for different stages of growing.

There are rooms to mother the plant and develop clones, before they’re hung in dry rooms that have micro-controlled heat and humidity. Large scale buildings also have clean rooms to trim buds, weigh, and package them.

Industrial grow houses can support hundreds of plants on automated racks and trays as they advance in size. Industrial grow rooms also require a lot of upkeep. Warehouse1 can help provide equipment and a space-saving design for your commercial grow room.

Grow Tents – Small Scale

If you are a small scale grower, you may choose to grow in a spare room, closet, or a grow tent at home. Most people who grow on a small scale will use a grow tent, since it’s the most convenient.

A grow tent has a sturdy frame made of metal poles and a covering to reflect light back to the plants while not letting it escape to other areas. The covering slides over the poles to complete the tent. It has zippers, and there are ports for ducting, electric cables, and grow equipment.

If you get a grow tent, be sure it will fit in your home space. Get one that’s high quality, non-toxic, and leak proof.

Grow Room Equipment Checklist

Here’s a list of supplies and needs to consider for your space:

  • Racking stations
  • Trimming tables and storage
  • Grow lights
  • Fans and proper ventilation
  • Drying equipment
  • Temperature and humidity controls
  • Vertical racking
  • Grow systems
  • Packaging necessities
  • High density storage system

There are other general necessities you’ll need like spray bottles, timers, and gloves, which we’ve provided a list of below.

Racking Stations

For your seedling propagation, Warehouse1 can provide a mobile wire racking station. It has casters with breaks, four tiers and it’s stainless steel.

We also provide work tables of various sizes and utility carts.

Trimming Tables and Storage

A trimming table is needed to complete the actual plant trimming process. This designated table space is used to keep everything organized.

Warehouse1 carries Decarb Oven Tables, PrepMate trimming stations, work tables of various sizes, and custom designed tool storage carts to help with the trimming process. They are durable and easy to clean.

Proper Grow Lighting

For your home or industrial grow room, you’ll need some good grow lights. Your plants can’t grow without a decent amount of light.

Take the grow space of your room or tent and divide it by 50-75 w’s to get the watts by square foot needed. But what type of lights should you get?

A few options include HD grow lights, LED, and T5. Be sure to research and weigh out your options based on your business needs.

Warehouse1 can help you choose integrated light and wiring solutions for your clone and grow rooms. We carry five-tier lights that have conductive and certified wiring harnesses.

Fans and Proper Ventilation for Constant Air Flow

You need a constant stream of fresh air in your grow room. This will prevent stale air from accumulating, prevent stunted growth, strengthen your branches, and help with your temperature/humidity control.

When you run your ventilation, exhaust from the top of the room and bring in cool air from the bottom. Have two oscillating fans pointed at the bottom, and don’t take air from the same room you are exhausting stale air from.

Drying Equipment

To help dry your plants, Warehouse1 carries drying trays and hanging drying racks. The trays are stainless steel, including the wire rim.

Each tray has a perforated bottom and sides of one centimeter of wire mesh. The rim is solid for easy cleaning.

The trays contain no galvanized wire, and hold up to washing.

Temperature and Humidity Controls

To make sure you have healthy plants, you’ll want to be careful about the temperature and humidity of the grow room. You should measure these carefully. The humidity should not reach more than 70% at its highest and temperatures should be about 65-80 degrees. For this, you need a thermo/hydrometer with built-in memory.

For the strong smells, you’ll need a charcoal filter to scrub the particles in the air. And for the sounds of the high output exhaust and intake fans, you can install a fan muffler. You can also control fan speeds with a Speedy Bully Fan Controller.

Racking

Warehouse1 can provide sturdy vertical racking for long-term support of your plants and accessories for your grow room. The racking and bracing will provide stability and a large opening for lighting, ventilation and more.

Mobile aisle shelving is good for grow rooms as well, as it increases your storage space by 50%. With this system, aisles are opened for item access one at a time. Just turn the handle at the end of each row to open up the aisle and grab what you need off the shelves.

Grow Mediums

A growing medium is what you are growing your cannabis roots in. It could be soil, coco coir, mineral wool, perlite, sphagnum, water, vermiculite, hardened expanded clay, and so on. Each medium has it’s pros and cons. Do plenty of research and find what works best for you.

Packaging

For your packaging, having a mobile or stationary security cart and shipping packaging benches can help. Warehouse1 can help you choose carts that are best for your space.

High Density Storage Systems

We can help you determine the best high density storage solutions that will maximize your space. We carry high-rise perimeter shelving and mobile high density storage systems so you can determine shelf location based on carton sizes. This will minimize the dead space in each area of your operation.
